During an ongoing process, I aim to create 900 ceramic creatures to inhabit plants, the same amount of animal species gone extinct since 1500 (the beginning of the registration of the red list)
In response to the disastrous climate change, I decided to create an art work that not only represents the vastness of the loss of biodiversity in its long process and its duration, but it also infiltrates many people's homes and minds.
Each Änîmalÿ comes with a certificate that states the name of one of the extinct species. Aditionally, 30% of the price is donated to NGO's who work hard to preserve biodiversity and to protect nature.
To this point, about 50 Änîmäliês have been made. There are 850 more to come.
