PLAY(THE)GROUND residency

The beginning of a long term research:
As a member of the collective Mais uno +1, I participated in and organised the community art residency PLAY(THE)GROUND in Lisbon's peripheries. This work is in line with my social activism because I believe art is transformational and deeply human. Furthermore, Housing and the theme of home is a deeply important subject for my artistic activity which was challenged in the summermonths of 2025. During the 2 months of summer holiday, the municipality of Loures destroyed 60+ self build illegal housing without giving the habitants an alternative. The housing crisis is real in Portugal and the question of home becomes a commodity.
This work just started and more information and thoughts will follow soon.
